Adventures in Vet Techin'

12 notes

This is a young feral cat that came in last week as part of our TNR program. We thought she was just another feral cat, malnourished and pregnant, but when we opened her up for her spay, we saw immediately that it wasn’t kittens filling her abdomen. Our vet enlarged the incision and realized that the huge, fluid-filled sacs were actually her kidneys. She had extremely severe, bilateral hydronephrosis. Her caretaker elected euthanasia.
